HKAFO joint plus, 1 step lock/2 steps lock
The orthosis allows stabilization of the lower limbs, pelvis and torso during
verticalization and learning to walk in the course of:
- MPDz,
- myelomeningocele,
- poliomyelitis,
- traumatic brain injury.
NEURO VERSION using 2 STEPS LOCK or 1 STEP LOCK hinges
is recommended for active rehabilitation, which
allows the patient to be involved in the process of improvement.
- In STAND mode, it allows you to amplify the entire
at home silhouettes during attempts to stand up and stand upright. - InWALK mode, together with a caregiver or therapist, it allows you to train
anti-gravity using gait elements such as pelvic control,
supports both legs, lunge and step.
STAND (seat to stand)
Operation of the orthosis in this mode allows easy transition from sitting to standing and vice versa. The brace automatically locks all
joints after achieving full extension and allows you to quickly release the lock and move to a sitting position. Provides active
verticalization and patient’s participation in the process of changing position.
WALK
The operation of the orthosis in this mode allows for free movement of the joint within the range of 30° of flexion (0 – 30°) in the knee joint and flexion
and extension (30° – 0° – 30°) of the hip joint.
The lock is quickly released from 30°, allowing for a smooth transition to a sitting position.
The patient, in a secured range of 30°, exercises independent movement of flexion and extension while walking, at the same time trying to overcome
own weight while supporting both legs and in lunge and step.
When the 1 step loc k hinge is used in the knee joint, movement takes place only in the hip joint, and the automatic release of the lock remains unchanged.
2 versions of hinges for the hip and knee joints + automatic release cable system.
- 1 Step Lock
with self-locking bolt after straightening
Only used for the knee joint.
It is intended for patients with severe quadriceps insufficiency
making it impossible to maintain extension of the knee joint under load.
- 2 Steps Lock
with self-locking bolt after straightening or 30° (depending on the operating mode)
Used for the knee and hip joint. Enables alternating operation in two modes STAND and WALK
When used in the knee joint, recommended for patients with preserved clear function of the quadriceps femoris.
